Denise Richards is interested in returning to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Following Lisa Rinna‘s exit from the Bravo reality show last month, the 51-year-old actress appeared on Jeff Lewis‘ SiriusXM radio show, where she addressed a possible comeback while also reacting to Rinna’s departure and discussing what Lisa Vanderpump brought to the show.
“I definitely would consider [returning to RHOBH]. They haven’t approached me though,” Denise confirmed on the February 12 episode of Jeff Lewis Live. “I wouldn’t be opposed. Absolutely not. I enjoyed it, actually. I had fun on the show.”
While Denise was tied into affair claims from Brandi Glanville during her final season on the show, season 10, she told Jeff that Rinna, who pushed the allegations, would not have prevented her from reprising her role.
Denise then said that while she and Rinna have exchanged “a couple cordial texts,” they haven’t made amends.
“I wouldn’t say that,” she stated.
As she and Jeff wondered if Rinna left on her own accord or was fired from RHOBH, Denise said she believes Rinna needed a break either way.
“I think though for Lisa it was probably, and who knows, maybe one day she will be back, but I think at this time, at the moment, it was probably a good decision to take a break because it’s a lot,” she admitted.
Then, after Jeff pointed out that he didn’t like how Rinna treated Denise amid season 10 as Brandi continuously claimed the two of them hooked up, Denise said, “I don’t either,” before noting that Rinna was a beloved Housewives personality.
“A lot of people loved her, which is why she was on there for quite a few years, actually,” she noted.
Denise also appreciated what Vanderpump brought to the show.
“She was so great on the show. [Her life is very fascinating] and she’s very entertaining, but they did her a little dirty,” Denise shared, adding that she misses seeing Vanderpump on RHOBH.
As for Brandi, Denise gave what she described as a “diplomatic” response to Jeff questioning her about whether or not she would return to RHOBH with Brandi on the cast.
“I think that also it depends too on, in my opinion, I think that the show should take a shift in what’s going on,” she explained. “I don’t think you have to play dirty. I think that it’s okay to see women get along and have fun because … it’s also an escape. So it’s nice to see the vacation and the lifestyle and girlfriends getting together and having dinners and drinks and it’s okay to have your kids being taken care of and taking time out for yourself.”
“It’s okay to show a group of women having fun. It doesn’t always have to be tearing each other apart and sh-tting all over each other,” she added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 is currently in production.
