As Denver thaws out from historic subzero temperatures, Christmas travelers are praying their flights are finally able to depart the Mile High City.

Although Denver International Airport is looking better than it did on Thursday and Friday, there were still 152 flights canceled Saturday and an additional 278 delayed as of 9:45 a.m., according to FlightAware.com.

Hundreds of flights were canceled over the past two days, with many weary passengers sleeping at the concourses as crews battled wind chills deep into the negatives.

Saturday’s weather finally broke the spell, with highs in Denver expected to hit 48 degrees.
