Kyle Richards reunited with her sister, Kathy Hilton, over the weekend.
Following a months-long estrangement, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star posed for a photo with Kathy at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party on Sunday night, where she spoke of the 12th season of the series and looked back at the cast’s “awkward” run-in with Lisa Rinna at a previous event.
“Kyle and Kathy reunite at Oscars 2023 party,” All About the Real Housewives wrote in the caption of their March 13 photo of Kyle and Kathy.
During a red carpet interview with Extra TV at the event, Kyle said that after enduring a “painful” and “difficult” 12th season of RHOBH, which saw her and Kathy suffer a falling out as a result of statements made by Lisa, she’s “feeling better.”
“I’m feeling better than I was after the reunion, that’s for sure,” she confirmed. “It took me a while to recover from that but I’m feeling good going into season 13, which we just started.”
Ahead of the start of filming last month, Kyle told herself, “I’m gonna have to just delete everything from last season.”
“It was honestly very painful so I’m just hoping for a better time this season,” she explained. “I wanna have fun. Of course there’s always drama but I wanna have fun too. I don’t think I had any fun last season … It’s always been fun and difficult, a little balance of both, but last year was just totally difficult for me.”
When the interviewer then asked Kyle about Lisa being present at the event, Kyle looked back on the PEOPLE’s Choice Awards, where she admitted to feeling “awkward” as she and her castmates reunited with Lisa.
“It was awkward for everybody,” she noted. “But honestly, you know, I’m just trying to move forward and I care about all of these women in the cast, including my sister, regardless of the difficult times we’ve had so no, we can be here tonight and say hello and have a good time.”
“If you see anyone being arrested and dragged out, we can talk about that then but right now I have high hopes,” she added.
Also during the interview, when asked for his thoughts on his wife’s ongoing role on RHOBH, and the drama she often faces, Mauricio Umansky praised Kyle as “awesome.”
“She just handles everything. She’s such a pro, the way she handles everything and she’s just great,” he gushed.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year.
